Destination: A few miles past Frog Lake Today's Miles: 23.80 Start Location: Hamilton, then up Bodgett Creek Trip Miles: 1399.20

Frog Lake This next part is very rocky & steep. Blodgett Pass isn't bad (6800 fee) but is steep & rocky. Trail is good though. Then back down to 5500 feet to Big Sand Lake & then back up to almost 8000 feet past Frog Lake where trail get's iffy for a bit. There was one more sketchy bit of trail just past some snow drifts. I got to a decent campsite just before the trail 71 junction. The scenery in this whole section is outstanding! Being a rock climber, I was blown away by all the sheer cliffs in the area. I'm told this area is a favorite with local climbers. Trails here are overgrown with huckleberries & thimble berries. Slowed me down as I stopped to pick them a lot.
