Week of August 26th

Yeti and I continue to organize the stuff that was in the garage, including setting up the bedroom furniture in the back spare bedroom where we will stay until the new bed comes. I ordered the Saatva Classic mattress and Saatva Copenhagen bedframe. Can’t wait to get that.

Rock Steady Movers did the reverse move on Thursday August 29th – going from the storage space back to the house. As they carried furniture in, Yeti and I put felt pads on the bottoms to protect the new floors. It was all over in less than 5 hours – tons of boxes everywhere. Now the tough part: putting the house back together.

It has been a long summer of home reno, home reno and nothing but home reno. Now we finally get to enjoy the fruits of our labors. It’s amazing how much you learn when you do this. At first, I freaked out about every design decision…now I feel more confident about making choices. I’m happy with all the choices of floor, paint (love the sage green), kitchen cabinets, quartz and backsplash and all of the bathroom tiles, and fixtures, including a new window that opens! They all go well together!

It was great working with Chris, Zack and the crew. They all were fun and easy to work with and they did a good job. Our neighbors have hired Chris and Zack to do some work at their house, too! Chris took most of our boxes, as he has sold his house and must move!

Welcome home, Yeti and Melanie!
