Thur Sep 10 We picked up the car and Desiree drove the winding mountain road (amazing views) to Ortisei. We passed many charming villages, very full with tourists! Ortisei is larger than we realized and totally crazy with people. Our lovely Airbnb is slightly out of town in a nice quiet neighborhood. We each have our own room and bath. It also has two balconies and a large kitchen. Our host is doing our laundry! We chose a restaurant for lunch that he’d recommended called Costamula. It turned out to be a hairy drive up a steep, narrow road, but in the end was totally worth it. The ambiance and the food were great. Later we got some groceries in town and walked around a bit. Supper was at the apartment. Peaceful night.
