Photo: Neolithic Burial Site, St. David's Head
St. David's Village Sadly, Leone and Charlotte had to leave early as Charlotte had to go back to University on Sunday. Deb and I had a great day at St. David’s Head. We did take the bus to Whitesands Beach and walked up to the Head. Pretty windy, but sunny and nice. It was nice to spend some time up there, as I had just walked on past the day before. We had lunch at the point among the rocks trying to get shelter from the wind. After resting, we walked over to the burial site and then wended out way back to Whitesands Beach. Nice day all in all. We had made a reservation at Grain – I wanted another pizza! We sat outside in one of their dining huts – it was nice. Great food here, too.
On Sunday, it actually was rainy. We managed a nice walk around the Cathedral during a dry interval. As we walked in what turned out to be a loop, we found a “secret” community garden!
The rest of the day was spent resting, reading, and taking it easy in the Granary as the rain returned. Later in the day, it stopped so we quickly went to the gourmet food shop and got some stuff for supper and food for the train back to Chester on Monday!
